AI scholarships and free seats

AI scholarships and free seats to learn AI.

Cost shouldn't decide who gets to learn AI. We give away full seats at our conference, hold places in every hands-on workshop, and keep year-round learning free to join. In 2026, 807 people came on a free seat, 173 of them through scholarships and access programs. For 2027 we've committed to at least 500 scholarship and access seats.

A conference ticket is a real barrier. So is a workday you can't take off, and a session where everyone already knows the acronyms. We built All Things AI so none of those decides who gets to learn. No programming experience required.

Scholarships for All Things AI 2027 are awarded in 2027. If you've asked, you're on our list. Please be patient; we'll be in touch.

807 free seats in 2026. 832 in 2025.

The CFO, the state legislator, the NC State senior and the veteran retraining through NPower are in the same sessions on purpose. The people who need AI skills most shouldn't be priced out of learning them.

Ada Lovelace Scholarships — All Things AI
The scholarship

The Ada Lovelace Scholarship

A century before the first computer was built, Ada Lovelace saw what computing could become, and history very nearly left her off the page anyway. Talent has never been evenly celebrated, and it has never been evenly funded.

In 2026, 807 people came to the conference on a free seat. 173 of them came through scholarships and the access programs we run with NPower, Code the Dream, Village of Wisdom, Echo and the universities. For 2027 we've committed to at least 500 scholarship and access seats, with or without corporate sponsorship, because it isn't contingent on anybody's marketing budget.

Every scholarship is a full seat: badge, lunches and the evening receptions included. Not a discount code, not a lobby pass.

Who the seats are for

Students, career-changers, veterans and technologists between opportunities: people who need AI skills for work and for whom a ticket is a real barrier.

How to get one

  1. Ask us. Tell us a little about you and what you want to learn. We award the 2027 seats in 2027, so it may be a while before you hear back.
  2. Ask your organization. Many seats are placed through the community groups and universities we work with. If you're in one of their programs, start there.
Keep learning all year

Free ways to learn AI for work

A scholarship gets you in the door for conference week. Building AI skills takes practice the rest of the year, and most of that costs nothing.

Meetups and lunch and learns

All Things AI (Live) is free to join: 5,025 members and over 70 events of our own since April 2023, from online lunch and learns to meetups around the Triangle. Ask questions and see how people nearby use AI in their jobs.

Session slides and recordings

Conference talks stay online as slides and recordings. Take one topic at a time and come back to it when your work calls for it.

The Agent Hackathon

Conference week opens with the Agent Hackathon, free and open by application. Build with a team and learn from the people next to you. All Things AI 2027 is April 18–20, 2027, in Raleigh.

Workshop seats held back

We hold seats back in every hands-on workshop for students, career-changers and veterans. 74 of them went that way in 2026.

Fund a seat

$149 sends one person. You don't need to be a sponsor.

A scholarship costs the price of a first-release ticket, and anyone can fund one. Companies can go further through their own giving programs: scholarship blocks, workshop seats for community organizations, or support for the local groups that keep this community running. Tell us what your program can do and we'll build the mechanism to match it.

Your questions

Questions about AI scholarships

Does All Things AI offer AI scholarships?

Yes. The Ada Lovelace Scholarship is a free, full seat at our annual conference: badge, lunches and evening receptions included. In 2026, 807 people came on a free seat. 173 of them came through scholarships and the access programs we run with community partners, and 74 of those seats were in hands-on workshops. The rest came through community partner codes and as volunteers. We have committed to at least 500 scholarship and access seats for 2027.

Who are the scholarships for?

Students, career-changers, veterans and technologists between opportunities: people who need AI skills for work and for whom a ticket is a real barrier. Many seats are placed through community partners such as NPower, Code the Dream, Village of Wisdom, Echo and the Triangle's universities.

How do I get a scholarship?

Ask us through our contact page, or ask the community organization or university you already work with. Many of our seats are placed through those partners.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Our workshops start from zero, and Build an Agent Day does not require programming. Bring a real task from your job and the subject knowledge you already have.

Are there free ways to learn AI without a scholarship?

Yes. All Things AI (Live), our meetup group, is free to join, with online lunch and learns and meetups around the Triangle. Conference sessions stay available as slides and recordings, and the Agent Hackathon that opens conference week is free and open by application.

How can I or my company fund a scholarship?

Anyone can fund one. A scholarship costs $149, the price of a first-release ticket, and you don't need to be a sponsor. Companies can go further through their own giving programs: scholarship blocks, workshop seats for community organizations, or support for the local groups that keep this community running.
